1. For the application of Express Mail rates, both the actual weight and the volumetric weight of the shipment are considered. The rate is determined based on the greater of the actual weight or the volumetric weight.
 

Volumetric weight calculation:

*Dimensions must be in centimeters.

2. Documents and items can be shipped and the size must not exceed:
L 120 cm x H 88 cm x W 118 cm.
 

3. The actual weight must not exceed:

20 kg for shipments within Italy and San Marino (documents and items);
2 kg (documents) and 5 kg (items) for international shipments (rest of the world). 

If the volumetric weight exceeds the maximum limits mentioned above, an additional charge of €2.00 per kg or part thereof will apply.

• Multiple shipments are allowed (up to five items). In this case, the rate will be the sum of the individual rates.
• For each shipment to locations outside standard delivery areas, a surcharge of €5.00 applies.
• If the address on the shipment is incorrect, a €10.00 surcharge applies for delivery to the new address provided by the customer.
• For each shipment to minor Italian islands, a €17.00 surcharge applies.
• You can insure a single shipment by paying a surcharge equal to 3% of the declared value (only if the sender is an entity of the Governorate, the Holy See, or a resident of the Vatican City State).
• The maximum allowed insurance value is €500.00.
• For shipments within Italy, cash-on-delivery is available with a surcharge equal to 2% of the COD value (only for senders who are entities of the Governorate, the Holy See, or residents of the Vatican City State).
• In case of loss or damage, the maximum compensation is:
• €25.00 for shipments within Italy;
  €75.00 for international shipments.
• If the actual value of the shipment is lower than the compensation amount, only the actual value will be refunded.
• Returns: This service is available only for entities of the Governorate, the Holy See, and residents of the Vatican City State.
• The sender is responsible for all return costs.
• For international returns, costs are calculated based on the rates in effect in the destination country.
• For domestic returns (Italy), the same rate as the original shipment will be applied.
• For anything not specified in this document, the rules of the Express Mail Regulation issued by the Postal and Philatelic Service apply.

- Items classified as hazardous materials or dangerous goods, or whose transport is prohibited or restricted by IATA, ICAO, ADR, or any governmental authority or other organization with the power to classify such goods;
- Items not accompanied by required customs declarations, when such declarations are mandatory under current customs regulations;
- Items that, in the judgment of the Postal and Philatelic Service, cannot be transported safely or in compliance with legal requirements (such shipments may include but are not limited to: asbestos, animals, ivory, cut flowers, bullion, currency or cash, bearer negotiable instruments, counterfeit goods or products, precious metals and stones, weapons or parts thereof and related ammunition, human remains or parts, used oils, pornographic or illegal materials, narcotics or controlled substances);
- Items that do not match their declared contents or are inadequately packaged.
